Rolando Triozzi (89) passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 after a long battle with cancer.

Only child, he was born to Alfonso Triozzi and Concetta (Desiderio) Triozzi on December 17, 1928 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Though he was an only child, he had plenty of cousins to share adventures and mischief.

He grew up with Italian Ices, Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches, hot pretzels with mustard, all foods Italian, and lots of love and adventure.

He and his parents moved to Jacksonville, Florida when he was 17 years old and later, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He was stationed in such exotic places as Biloxi, Mississippi; San Antonio, Texas; Dhahran, Saudi Arabia; and Bermuda. And, true to form, he found mischief and adventure in each posting.

After 4 years in the Air Force, he received an honorable discharge and he returned home to meet the love of his life, Frances Bruno. They met at the home of Lucy Giardino, a mutual friend, and Lucy reminded them quite often that she was the person who introduced them. They were married on February 27, 1955 and shared 62 years of love and adventure.

Roland was preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso Triozzi and Concetta (Desiderio) Triozzi.

His 3 children:
Lorraine Sandeen (Terry)
Eugene Triozzi (Debbie Reddish)
Anthony Triozzi (Lara)
His 4 grandchildren:
Heather (Sandeen) Gianonatti (Carl Joel)
Katherine Sandeen
Charlize Triozzi
Roland James (RJ) Triozzi
And his 1 great-grandchild, Dominick Gianonatti

He is the singer of songs, player of piano & accordion, fixer of all things broken, builder of boats and boomerangs, capturer of South American Green Speckled Squabblegrosses, and Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Florida Gator, and New England Patriot football fan.

He is son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather extraordinaire and he will be sorely missed
We love you, Roro.

The Funeral Mass will be 10 AM on Thursday January 11th, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 1773 Blanding Boulevard with interment to follow at Jacksonville Memory Gardens, 111 Blanding Boulevard.
